Singapore Green Building Product Labeling Scheme (SGBPLS) is a joint mark certification between TÜV SÜD PSB Pte Ltd (TÜV SÜD PSB) and Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC). It is a third party broad-based labeling scheme aimed at promoting the development of environmentally sustainable buildings. SGBPLS’s multi-tier criteria assessment system with product life cycle consideration is based on ISO 14024 Type I Environmental Labeling Programme and the certification framework complies with ISO/IEC 17065. The SGBPLS complements green building rating schemes. The Singapore Green Building Product Labeling Scheme encompasses a vast range of building products.
Under the Singapore Green Building Product Labeling Scheme, the building products would be assessed on its properties and performance through a comprehensive list of assessment criteria covering energy efficiency, water efficiency, environmental protection and quality, material performance and other specific green features.
The product will be rated and scored accordingly to the stipulated criteria. A copy of the product application checklist with its required supporting documents will be provided to applicant for submission. Depending on the qualities of the product, it will be awarded up to a maximum of 4 ticks (Good to Leader).
Our transparent certification process will allow the building and construction industry stakeholders to compare and make an informed decision on which green products to choose. TÜV SÜD’s test reports, certificates and marks are internationally recognized and trusted.
