Complimentary Webinar: BIM Beyond 3D in Reality Check
The true value of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Building Information Management for investors, owners and operators
The pressure of budgets and deadlines as well as quality and safety concerns in CRE multiples has increased the importance for owners and operators for a better control and an early optimization of CAPEX and OPEX. BIM in the meaning of Building Information Modeling and Building Information Management is often promoted as a 360° project and asset improvement matter.
To address these concerns, many real estate investors and industries have requested BIM from their contractors, as a modern way of Design documentation and as Clash Detection source. But how does it really work, and are visual 3D documentation and clash detection models really the most valuable resource for typical use cases of investors, owners and operators?
With the Webinar ‘BIM beyond 3D in Reality Check’, TÜV SÜD experts for the BIM application in Design, Construction and Operations wish to transmit the true face of BIM, translated for the needs of REITs, Industries and public asset holders. TÜV SÜD’s international BIM project teams have consulted, implemented and managed BIM for CRE portfolios with more than 36,000 buildings in total. During this journey, Best Practices and pragmatic approaches have been developed with customers. The webinar gives an insight on how to get maximum profit out of the BIM method, e.g. by using the BIModels as the Digital Prototype ready for CAPEX and OPEX optimizations through simulations and pre-testings.
Through this webinar, we support REITs, Industries and public asset holders to identify the true value of BIM and how to leverage the project application of BIM for safe, beautiful and high performing buildings.
The agenda of the Webinar includes topics such as:
Be selective: Use Cases on BIM that really bring a dedicated value for owners & operators
Be successful: Proven best practices by TÜV SÜD on how BIM shall be driven, contracted and implemented by owners & operators to achieve maximum on BIM
Be smart: Project examples and insights to BIM benefits that TÜV SÜD has achieved for owners and operators during BIM mandates
Importance of Building Information Modeling (BIM) Management
BIM reflects a smartly built environment. A smart building is not only equipped with smart technology, but is planned, designed, constructed, and managed in a transparent and efficient way, resulting in an increased economic value for stakeholders. BIM is an essential pillar for reaching future goals of smart design and sustainability, raising living standards, higher labor productivity and prime energy efficiency on a truly global stage.
BIM construction management can also further prove advantageous for your business through:
Saving you time and money – by tracing integrated 4D (time) and 5D (cost) information, the BIM model is a real-time, reliable and transparent project management tool.
Increasing efficiency and productivity – by integrating and connecting all specialty trades in one model, ensuring the compatibility of designers and reducing design faults and construction deficiencies.
Raising sustainability and operating standards – by simulating energy consumption or assuming dynamic in-house flows before physical establishments are in place, thus, allowing for operation phase-oriented building design.
Knowledge Sharing through Complimentary Webinar
To help organisations understand the numerous benefits of BIM, through our complimentary webinar TÜV SÜD’s BIM expert will address how BIM’s offerings go beyond just 3D in Reality Check and how to utilize this innovative digital prototyping method to enhance the quality and sustainability of buildings and infrastructure and complete the project within the stipulated time and budget.
